Fighting Hunger in Peru: A New Initiative by End World Hunger Foundation

The End World Hunger Foundation is dedicated to combating global hunger and child malnutrition. In our latest initiative, we proudly announce a significant contribution of $8,500 to Chicuchas Wasi, a nonprofit organization based in Sonoma, California, that operates an indigenous girl school in Cusco, Peru. This funding will directly support the poorest families of students at the school, ensuring that their children receive the nourishment they need to thrive.

Empowering Families Through Micro-Businesses

The funds provided will be allocated to the ten families with the greatest need, each receiving $850 to start a micro-business. These small enterprises, which may include food carts, sewing machines, ..., are designed to generate additional income, enabling families to provide better meals for their children. By investing in these micro-businesses, we aim to create sustainable solutions that empower families to break the cycle of poverty.

Recent Milestones

Yesterday, Todd Evans and Cathy Webber, Board Directors of the End World Hunger Foundation, had the honor of delivering a check for $8,500 to Rae Lewis, the founder of Chicuchas Wasi. This funding will specifically be used to purchase ten food carts, which will play a crucial role in supporting the families of Chicuchas Wasi in Cusco, Peru. This impactful project was brought to the Board's attention by Antoine Bigirimana, showcasing the collaborative effort within our organization to identify and address pressing needs in communities around the world.

Training for Success

In addition to providing financial support, we are committed to ensuring the success of these new micro-businesses. Rae Lewis will be training Efrain Morales, who will oversee the implementation of these initiatives and provide guidance to the families on how to operate

their businesses effectively. We eagerly anticipate Efrain's visit in January 2025, which will mark a significant step forward in our mission to empower these families.
